FORZA G (Orange Vinyl)

"Forza G" (Winged Devils) is a 1972 film directed by Duccio Tessari, featuring a stellar cast of leading actors including Riccardo Salvino, Pino Colizzi, Barbara Bouchet, Dori Ghezzi, Anita Strindberg and Kitty Swan. The plot is based on the real-life story of stunt pilot Gianni Orlando, who personally contributed to the movie's production as screenwriter and consultant for the aerial scenes. The soundtrack to "Forza G", despite being one of the lesser-known works by the late Maestro, is as captivating and enchanting as ever, thanks also to Bruno Nicolai's orchestral direction and the Cantori Moderni choir led by Alessandro Alessandroni. Although it is an action film packed with spectacular footage delivered by a remarkable directorial technique, the movie also features several lighter, cheerful and romantic sequences, accompanied by the delightful theme "Sospesi fra le Nuvole", presented in five different versions. Even more interesting are the variations on the second main theme, "Forza G", which is also performed in a Western style and in a curious blend of jazz and psychedelia. While the first two tracks on Side A were originally released on a 45rpm single in 1972, the remainder of the soundtrack was left unreleased for over twenty years; today, for the very first time, this score is finally made available in its entirety on vinyl!
