IRONMASTER LA GUERRA DEL FERRO

Ironmaster è un film diretto da Umberto Lenzi nel 1983 e parla delle gesta di Vud, un crudele capo tribale esiliato dalla sua comunità.

In possesso di una brutale arma di acciaio, forgiata dalla lava vulcanica, imperverserà imponendo la sua legge finché Ela ed un gruppo di ribelli non troveranno il modo di contrastarlo.

La pellicola, incentrata sul claim dei vari Conan Il Barbaro equivalente, vedeva nel cast attori del calibro di William Berger e Luigi Montefiori e, al pentagramma, la coppia di maestri più collaudata dell’epoca, Guido & Maurizio De Angelis.

 

Siamo nel periodo della deriva elettronica nel mondo della musica da film e i due musicisti, tutt’altro che contrari alla sperimentazione, forgiano una notevole partitura, estremamente d’avanguardia, nello stile strumentale che sarà principe anche in altre colonne sonore come Alien 2 sulla terra, 2019 dopo la caduta di New York, I predatori di Atlantide. In effetti, Ironmaster chiude un poker d’assi in questo genere musicale calato dai due musicisti, che fa da complemento di grande spessore per tutta una serie di pellicole dominate dai synth.

 

Il CD viene proposto in confezione jewelcase con booklet da 12 pagine illustrato, grafica a cura di Daniele De Gemini, mastering di Enrico De Gemini e note di produzione, in Italiano ed in Inglese di Fabio Babini.

 

Ironmaster is a movie directed by Umberto Lenzi in 1983 and it talks about Vud’s deeds, a cruel tribal chief exiled by his own peers.

With the help of a brutal iron sword, forged in a volcanic fire he will be storming the lands imposing his rule up to the moment Ela and a group of rebels will find the way to contrast him.

The film, centered on the claim given by various Conan the Barbarian movies featured in the cast actors such as William Berger and Luigi Montefiori, the music was composed by the most tested artist duo of the period, Guido & Maurizio De Angelis.

 

We are in the period of electronic boom in film music world and the two musicians, prone to experimentation, forged a notable score, extremely avant-guarde , in the instrumental style which will be dominant in other soundtracks already released by Beat Records and Cabum such as Alien 2 sulla terra, 2019 dopo la caduta di New York, I predatori di Atlantide. In effects Ironmaster I guerrieri del ferro closes an aces poker dropped by the two composers which is a high quality complement for a lot of OSTs dominated by synths.

 

The CD is released in a jewel case box with a 12 pages booklet, graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini, mastering by Enrico De Gemini and liner notes, in Italian and English language by Fabio Babini.
