MONEY (aka “Intrigo in 9 mosse”) è un film thiller diretto nel 1991 da  Steven Hilliard Stern, scritto da Larry Pederson e Gordon Roback, basato sull’omonimo romanzo di Paul – Loup Sulitzter, prodotto da André Djaoui e  René Malo, musiche di Ennio Morricone, interpretato da Eric Stoltz, Maryam D’Abo, Bruno Cremer,Mario Adorf,Anna Kanakis, F.Murray Abraham, Christopher Plummer, Bernard Fresson, Angelo Infanti, Tomas Milian.

Frank Cimbali è un ragazzo di 21anni che cercando di rivendicare la sua eredità scopre gli affari sporchi di un ex-partner d’affari di suo padre. Frank parte in giro per il mondo alla ricerca di coloro che l’hanno derubato di milioni di dollari ed incontra anche l’amore della sua vita. Finalmente il giovane ritrova Will Scarlet che era stato socio di suo padre e  che ora è gravemente malato. Will ammette il suo ruolo nel crimine e decide di aiutare Frank a rintracciare il resto degli uomini sulla sua lista di vendetta. Di “Money” esiste una versione per la televisione e una per il Cinema. La maggior parte della OST è  repertorio, ma questo CD della durata di circa 37 minuti contiene solo la musica originale composta, strumentata e diretta da Ennio Morricone derivata dai master stereo della sessione originale. Oscar Valdambrini è Solista d’eccezione al flicorno nel ritmico tema principale che viene alternato a momenti dal sapore di commedia ad altri di suspence e azione. Questa ristampa sarà benvenuta da chi ha perso la prima stampa su CD della GDM. Un disco per ogni collezione dedicata al genio musicale di Ennio Morricone.

Frank Cimbali is a 21-year-old man who, trying to reclaim his legacy, discovers the dirty business of his father's former business partner. While traveling around the world in search of those who have robbed him of millions of dollars, Frank meets the love of his life. Finally, the young man finds Will Scarlet, who had been his father's partner and who is now seriously ill. Will admits his role in the crime and decides to help Frank track down the rest of the men on his revenge list. Two different versions of Money were produced, one for television and one for the cinema. Most of the soundtrack is repertoire, but this CD, with a duration of approx. 37 minutes, contains only the original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Ennio Morricone, derived from the stereo masters of the original sessions. Oscar Valdambrini is the exceptional flugelhorn soloist on the rhythmic main theme, which is alternated with moments of comedy, suspense and action. This reissue will be welcomed by anyone who missed out on the long-out-of-print GDM CD release and is essential for every collection dedicated to the musical genius of Ennio Morricone.
