ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS

E dulcis in fundo, dopo due anni di assenza dal nostro catalogo torna alla ribalta la colonna sonora horror più amata dai fan di Fabio Frizzi, niente meno che Zombie 2, pubblicato in questa super edizione, su cui stiamo lavorando da oltre 5 anni, con il titolo americano Zombie Flesh Eaters.

Da sempre abbinata alla colonna sonora di Gatto nel cervello, ora, finalmente, in un'edizione che gode dell'incredibile apporto dato dal materiale inedito scoperto in un archivio privato della Ribot. Una delle partiture più amate da sempre, da chi ci segue, per citare Galadriel, con disperazione, in quanto il materiale di cui eravamo in possesso, pur contenendo una significativa porzione della colonna sonora, era largamente incompleto.

Con la musica contenuta in questo nastro inedito e con l'aggiunta del brano There's no matter, che si sente all'inizio del film durante l'investigazione dei due protagonisti sulla barca sotto sequestro, possiamo dire che questa è l'edizione definitiva di questa colonna sonora clamorosa, che segna una notevole evoluzione artistica del Maestro, oltre al consolidamento del suo rapporto collaborativo con Lucio Fulci.

 

In questa versione lo proponiamo su CD in edizione deluxe, con il clamoroso artwork di Graham Humphreys sul box di cartone e sul libro da 40 pagine abbinato, jewelbox slim con maxi inlay raffiguranti l’iconico poster fotografico dell’epoca e l’artwork in bianco e nero di Alexandros Pyromallis. Completano la gun line le note di produzione di Antonella Fulci, Fabio Frizzi e Daniele De Gemini e il mastering di Enrico De Gemini.

 

At last but not least... After 2 years of absence from our catalogue we are glad to reveal we are close to release a new edition of Fabio Frizzi’s fans most beloved horror score, Zombi 2, with the American title of Zombie Flesh Eaters, a project we are developing since five years!

Since ever paired with Un gatto nel cervello, now finally alone in a version that is gifted with unreleased material which was recorded in a tape found in an old Ribot archive.

One of the holy grails in our catalogue, since ever bitterly loved, because of its shortness: even if the older version featured a good portion of the score, it was largely incomplete.

With the addition of the material transferred from this extra tape, and with the song There’s no matter, which can be heard at the beginning of the movie, when the two protagonists investigate the sequestered ship, we can attest this is the definitive edition of this outstanding soundtrack which marks a significant style evolution of the Maestro, aside the growth of his artistic relationship with Lucio Fulci.

 

In this edition we offer the score on CD in a deluxe hardpaper box with the insane artwork by Graham Humphreys, both on the box and on the 40 pages book inside, slim jewelcase with a maxi inlay featuring the iconic photographic poster of the time and a crazy black and white artwork by Alexandros Pyromallis. Gun line is complete with liner notes by Antonella Fulci, Fabio Frizzi and Daniele De Gemini, mastering by Enrico De Gemini.
