L’Isola Misteriosa e il Capitano Nemo (2CD)

Cinevox Record is pleased to reissue Gianni Ferrio's wonderful music for the 1973 adventure film ‘L'ISOLA MISTERIOSA E IL CAPITANO NEMO’ (The Mysterious Island and Captain Nemo) on a double CD with a total running time of approximately 104:08.

Gianni Ferrio wrote a symphonic score dominated by a romantic adagio-style main theme featuring the crystal-clear voice of Edda Dell'Orso. This captivating motif returns with orchestral variations alternating with dark, action-packed and adventurous passages. The soundtrack album was released in 1973 in Italy by Cinevox with 12 tracks and a running time of 37 minutes. In 1997, the first CD release appeared in Germany and included the album programme plus five minutes of unreleased music from the Cinevox album master. In 2014, the specialist label Quartet Records in Spain released for the first time ever a double CD that included the stereo album, three stereo bonus tracks and the complete soundtrack in mono. Although the tapes from the original mono session were somewhat damaged, releasing it in its entirety is a sincere tribute to the musical artistry of the great Gianni Ferrio.

Cinevox Record è lieta di ristampare su un doppio CD con la durata totale di circa 104:08 le meravigliose musiche di Gianni Ferrio per il film d’avventura del 1973  “L’ISOLA MISTERIOSA E IL CAPITANO NEMO”. 

Gianni Ferrio ha scritto un commento sinfonico dominato da un romantico tema principale in stile adagio con la voce di cristallo di Edda Dell’Orso. Questo motivo affascinante ritorna con variazioni orchestrali alternato a cupi passaggi d'azione ed avventurosi. L'album della colonna sonora fu pubblicato nel 1973 in Italia dalla Cinevox con 12 tracce e una durata di 37 minuti. Nel 1997 la prima uscita in CD apparve in Germania e includeva il programma dell'album più cinque minuti di musica inedita presente sul master dell'album Cinevox. Nel 2014 la specializzata Quartet Records in Spagna pubblicò per la prima volta assoluta un doppio CD che comprendeva l’album stereo, tre bonus tracks stereo e la colonna sonora completa in mono. Anche se i nastri della sessione originale mono erano un po’ danneggiati, riproporla integrale è un omaggio sincero all’Arte Musicale del grande Gianni Ferrio.
